Panasonic PT-MZ882 Overview
Project bright and colorful images in a variety of room lighting scenarios with the Panasonic PT-MZ882 8200-Lumen WUXGA Laser 3LCD Projector in black. With a host of eco-friendly and energy saving features, like Daylight View Basic, intelligent auto power-on, and support for 21:9 and 27:9 aspect ratios, and up to 4K resolution, this projector is well suited to modern classroom and conference room spaces.
Image Optimization for Well-Lit Spaces
Office and classroom projectors often need to be used with room lights on. To combat ambient light, projectors need to have high brightness, rich contrast, and accurate color. The PT-MZ882 boasts a light output of 8200 ISO lumens and features Digital Light Control to optimize Dynamic Contrast performance, and Daylight View Basic to adjust image quality according to ambient room light.
Dynamic Contrast
Input signals are analyzed frame by frame to regulate light output for the best contrast performance in every scene. Dynamic Contrast is used to accurately reproduce complex images that contain a mix of dark and bright hues. The projector’s high 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio enhances detail definition in shadows with deeper blacks, brighter whites, and more natural skin tones for an improved sense of depth and definition.
Daylight View Basic
Daylight View Basic is a dynamic adjustment technology that enhances image sharpness by clarifying detail definition in dark areas of the picture, which can be difficult to see in bright light. A sensor measures the ambient light in the room and optimizes sharpness, halftone color, contrast, and brightness for the best results according to the room's illumination.
Project Ultra-Wide Screen Content
Widescreen conferencing software layouts can be output from a PC to a PT-MZ882 Series projector so that remote participants appear along the bottom of the screen at eye level to those seated in the room, improving communication fluency. This capability is also useful for projecting documents side by side or screening cinematic content. The PT-MZ882 Series supports 1920 x 810 (21:9) or 1920 x 640 (27:9) signals.
Optional Powered Lenses
The PT-MZ882 Series ships with the ET-ELS20 (1.61–2.76:1) powered zoom lens and is compatible with six other optional lenses. Powered lens-shift (V: ±67%, H: ±35%), zoom, and focus adjustment are supported via the remote control or Smart Projector Control app. The lineup of optional lenses includes the ET-ELU20 Ultra Short-Throw Zoom Lens (0.330–0.353:1). This lens projects content without offset at the top and bottom of the image, making the PT-MZ882 Series a cost-effective solution for museums and Location-Based Entertainment (LBE) applications.
Smart Projector Control App
The free Smart Projector Control app simplifies projector setup and operation. You can control up to 64 projectors simultaneously and adjust settings without needing to project the OSD settings menu. You can also select test patterns, adjust lens settings via the new lens-control UI, lock brightness, and perform focus adjustment using your smartphone camera from distances up to 98'. For more information, visit the Smart Projector Control webpage.
Easily View the Projection Angle
The PT-MZ882 Series features a gyro sensor that detects changes to the projector’s body pitch and roll angles and displays the information graphically in the OSD settings menu. Installers no longer need assistance checking the projection angle as the body is adjusted. They can view the on-screen graphic and adjust the projector angle before securing the unit.
