Description
Epson Pro Cinema LS12000 4K PRO-UHD Laser Projector (V11HA47020)
Theaters Redefined.
Epson® Pro Cinema Projectors have one goal – to faithfully reproduce the source material the way the artist intended. This single thought is what guided our Engineering Teams to develop a next-generation home theater projector. And what they came up with, could possibly be our best Pro Cinema Projector ever.
Introducing the Epson Pro Cinema LS12000 4K PRO-UHD®1 3-Chip 3LCD Laser Projector.
Utilizing an all-new Laser Array Light Source, the Pro Cinema LS12000 is capable of displaying a 4K picture on screen up to an astonishing 2,700 lumens for both color and white brightness2. And, when driven by a proprietary Epson ZX Picture Processor for powerful picture processing, the Pro Cinema LS12000 produces incredible brightness, color accuracy, and image detail to faithfully display all your content the way it was meant to be seen.
Features
- 4K PRO-UHD1
Advanced pixel-shifting technology works in parallel with three individual high-definition LCD chips to produce an exceptionally sharp 4K picture without sacrificing picture brightness - High Picture Brightness
Impressive 2,700 lumens of color and 2,700 lumens of white brightness2 for an exceptional picture in virtually any theater environment – even in rooms with ambient light - Laser Array Light Source
True multi-array laser diodes produce an ideal light source to power the unique 3-Chip 3LCD Projector Engine for quick turn-on, incredible picture brightness, black contrast and color accuracy - Epson ZX Picture Processor
Our most advanced video processing technology to date, the proprietary 36-bit Epson ZX Picture Processor handles real-time color, contrast, HDR3, frame interpolation and resolution enhancement to faithfully reproduce the source material the way it was intended to be shown - Precision Shift Glass Plate Technology
Unique digitally controlled Precision Shift Glass Plate precisely refracts pixel-light to display a 3840 x 2160, 8.29-million-pixel image for an exceptionally sharp and clear 4K picture - True 3-Chip 3LCD Projector Engine
Advanced 3LCD technology uses three individual LCD chips to continuously display 100% of the RGB color signal for every frame. This allows for outstanding color gamut while maintaining excellent brightness without any rainbowing or color brightness issues seen with other projection technologies - Impressive HDR
Full 10-bit HDR3 color processing accepting 100% of the HDR source information to faithfully reproduce HDR, HDR10+ and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) content for an exceptional visual performance. Real-time HDR curve adjustment allows for 16 steps of control to fine-tune the HDR performance regardless of the content - 120 Hz Refresh Rate
Refresh rates up to 120 Hz allow for smoother motion for supported content while providing the option for impressive Frame Interpolation for content below 120 Hz - Epson UltraBlack™ Technology
Taking full advantage of the Laser Array Light Source, Epson created a proprietary compensation filter that controls the polarization of light itself. This allows Epson to suppress any stray light within the signal and dramatically enhance the picture contrast to produce an infinite Dynamic Contrast Ratio exceeding 2,500,000:1 - Epson VRX Cinema Lens
Designed for zero-light leakage, the Epson VRX Cinema Lens utilizes a proprietary 15-element precision glass structure for outstanding image clarity and edge-to-edge focus uniformity. This could be one of the best projector lens technologies Epson has ever developed - 3-Axis Motorized Lens Shift
Making installation simple, you can precisely shift the lens up to +/- 96% horizontally and up to +/- 47% vertically without any loss in picture distortion or clarity. You can also set the zoom and focus, then store all the settings in one of ten lens memory presets - Real-Time Adaptive Scene Correction
Powered by the Epson ZX Picture Processor, the user has the option to automatically adjust the picture quality based upon the scene information itself. This provides a simple way to get impressive color and contrast, regardless of the content being displayed - HDMI® 2.1
Supports the full 48 Gbps bandwidth for accepting 4K HDR3 content up to 120 Hz. Along with ARC and eARC support, this allows for outstanding compatibility with the latest AV receivers and next-generation gaming consoles - Epic for Gaming
Gaming up to 4K at 120 frames per second, along with input lag times below 20 ms, allow for serious gamers to take full advantage of the latest generation of gaming consoles and even higher-end gaming PCs - World-Class Warranty & Support
Standard 3-year limited warranty with 2-business-day full unit replacement. And, all Epson Pro Cinema projectors come with free lifetime technical phone support - ISF® Certified
The Imaging Science Foundation has been setting the display standards since 1994 and has been dedicated to improving the quality of electronic imaging. Epson shares this passion for image quality and has developed technologies to allow an ISF Certified Technician to professionally calibrate the Epson Pro Cinema LS12000 projector to the highest level of image quality - Eco Features

The Best 4K Projector
First of all; I wanted to let everyone know that my previous projector was the Epson 5050Ub 4K which is an excellent projector in its own right. However the LS12000 is a much bigger step higher, in regards of picture quality and allowing me to finally play Xbox Series X games at 4K 120Hz. The laser technology its amazing it only take about 8-10sec to get the projector fully power on and the brightness and crispiness of the image matches and at times better than either my Samsung 65 QN85A or my Sony 4K 85 inch X950H My only advice to people that purchase this projector is to make sure that you purchased a HDMI 2.1 certified cable so you can take full advantage of it .

Simply an amazing projector
I upgraded from an Epson 5040UB that I had for years and loved. This LS12000 blows my previous projector out of the water. I will go over a few of the things that are really great. Really, really quiet. When watching shows, I don't ever hear the fan. The colors are just stunning. The reds and blues especially just pop. The overall picture is just incredible. The whites and blacks are amazing. Easy to set up. Starts really fast Overall, I could not be happier. This laser projector should last many, many years

Holly Lasers!
New LS12000 has been installed for 1 week now in my dedicated (small) theater room. I've always loved the projector experience that we had with our previous projectors (Older Epson's, and one Mitsubishi). However, this is a significant leap in performance. Previous models, especially when the bulb got past 1000 hrs., would become notably dimmer, cause the room temp to go up several degrees (this happened no matter the hour count on the bulb), and the fans would be loud enough to be a distraction. The Epson LS12000 has an absolutely bright/stunning picture! Fan noise is not detectable, and the unit runs much cooler than previous models with the standard bulb. We have been watching content mainly on the Apple TV and a little on a UHD Blu-ray player. Source material on both look fantastic. Strongly recommend turning Frame interpolation to "Low" or "Off". The soap-opera effect is a little too smooth out of the box. Pros: - Cost to performance ratio - Excellent Form-factor - Top-quality Chief mount in the box - Picture Quality (out of the box is great) - Flexible installation (lens shift on this unit is no joke) - Laser light engine (runs cool / quiet / no bulb to replace) - 3 year Epson warranty Cons: - No 3D support (not a problem for me but will be for some) - Chief mounting pole provided is 6" and might require an additional purchase for some installations. Images taken are with iPhone 12 Pro Max. Content is YouTube. Equipment at the time of review are; Epson LS12000 projector w/ provided mount, SI Screen Black Diamond 1.4 113", Marantz SR6011 (will not pass 120Hz. Needs an upgrade), Apple TV 4K 32G, Xbox ONE X, Oppo Blu-ray, PS4, Roku Ultra... PS. Still have some drywall repair to do after projector swap. :)
